The Schmelke Family has been building cues in Northern Wisconsin for over 50 years. Now in its third generation of cuemakers, this family-owned company takes pride in producing cues that rival other top brand American-made cues. The SPL series features full spliced designs in a very tradtional look and style, built for playabilty, hit and feel.
The SPL08 cue is crafted with a Rosewood butt, long ten inch prongs with natural, grey, natural and black veneers along the prongs. This cue has a premium maple shaft and a 3/8" dia.,10 tpi stainless steel joint pin, giving this cue a natural soft hit. This joint has Maple collars and segmented trim rings. The soft tip and melamine ferrule give a perfect combination of control and power. The shaft is coated with a special UV finish giving it a smooth, easy glide surface with minimal upkeep. The UV finish also protects the shaft from moisture and chalk stains.
